Any author on Oppo can follow someone for Oppo, including other authors (for whom it will have no actual effect). At this point people are just fucking with you because you keep posting about it. That includes me, I just toggled it. I didn't do the previous ones.

Nope, it's just meant for people who aren't authors, taking their comments out of the grey if they are followed. Like I said, it can be toggled by any author but won't have any effect on you so don't worry about it.
